Bad Bunny: Unique Minds Shape Culture (& the Super Bowl)

It’s no secret that I am a fan of Bad Bunny. I think he is absolutely fascinating. He just goes for it, whatever “it” happens to be, and I think that’s amazing.
His spectacular performance at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show made the world sit up and take notice. Not just of Benito himself, but of the deeper message of his show: let’s love each other better.
Many people I know were moved to tears by this performance, myself included.
For something that was immediately made to feel divisive, it did the opposite and brought people across the Americas (North, Central, and South) together to remind us that “America” is so much more than just the United States.
What Bad Bunny showed us was more than an amazing performance and message. He also showed us just how much uniquely wired brains shape culture. Creativity, disruption, and conviction change the world — and when it comes to those things, neurodivergent people are often leading the charge.
In recent years, Bad Bunny has challenged existing boundaries around gender expression, masculinity, kindness, fashion, genre, and showing up authentically as you truly are.
No bullshit.
It is incredible to see what happens when new, creative perspectives are brought to the table with the conviction to act on them. That’s when mountains get moved. It’s when the big change happens. It’s when “just the way things are” becomes “the way things were.”
Neurodivergent people are culture-shapers, and it’s culture-shapers that change the world, for better or worse. We can influence that direction by empowering people with the confidence they need to speak out about injustice, name patterns that no longer serve, and follow their creativity and intuition to new heights.
Let’s keep building up the neurodivergent people. The creative people. The emotionally gifted people. Because the world they will create is something we haven’t even thought of yet.
